PK3 is a pretty laid-back year.  Typically, I try to get the child used to the workbox system and get them used to “school time.”  Playing is still the order of the day, but we try to push their brains a little more this year.  Here is what we do our PK3 year:

Math:  Critical Thinking Co. Mathematical Reasoning Book 1 and 2

Letter/Number of the Week by Confessions of a Homeschooler

Read a lot of books.  We read anything that interests the kids, and we read at least 20 minutes per day.

Painting/Coloring/Drawing/Playdough – really anything messy and artsy is fun:)

Learn our phone number and address

Begin calendar work.  Learn the months of the year and days of the week (although getting them to understand the concept of “yesterday” and “tomorrow” has been entertaining).

Learn about our community

Bible:  memory verses and ABC Bible Verses

Handwriting:  Handwriting Without Tears My First School Book
